Manitowoc Ice was the first U.S. manufacturer of commercial ice-makers to receive ISO 9001 certification. Manitowoc received its certificate of registration on February 13, 1995 for the design and manufacture of commercial ice machines, bins, and dispensers .

In 2003, Manitowoc Ice was granted certification to the next highest level of ISO Standard 9001:2000.
